1970s Sci-Fi
1970s Sci Fi was a weird place. This weekend we caught up on Zardoz and Space 1999. Both entirely bizarre. This Blakes 7 book I read referred a lot to how set pieces and themes for B7 were borrowed from Space 1999. I just don't see Martin Landau and Barbara Bain as being very exciting heroes. Martin is one of those British actors with really wide lips that kept showing up in BBC's the Avengers.
Looking around, found this image of a 1999 playlet I used to have as a kid Space 1999 adventure playlet.
Also found this image of a viper cardboard playset. This was supposed to be a Colonial Viper, but the controls were like Knight Rider, not a joystick.
Not sure if it's worth trying to build this, but here's a $100+ model kit
